House in Glasthule
This Victorian mid terraced property of 350 square metres was restored to full glory having spent decades split into bedsits. As a Grade 1 conservation practice, we were able to draw on years of experience to resolve extensive damp and wood rot issues in the building.
When the plasterboard dropped ceilings were removed it was discovered that the original intricately detailed plaster ceilings had been preserved so a specialist contractor was hired to restore them.
The original stone structure was changed with only minor structural upgrades. A new double-height extension was added at the rear to create a dramatic open plan living space.
