Originally from Strabane in Co. Tyrone, Trevor McDaid graduated from Hull School of Architecture in 1995 and became a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland in 1997. He joined Hamilton Young Architects as a senior architect in 1999, having previously worked in private practice in Belfast, Letterkenny and Sligo. Trevor has been a director since 2005, and now has overall responsibility for the firm’s education projects, as well as being involved at a senior level in all other aspects of the practice’s work including residential, commercial and office developments. He has been an RIAI accredited PSDP since 2008.
Trevor has been involved with Sligo Chamber of Commerce for many years and was honoured to be elected as Sligo Chamber President in 2013.
Outside of work, Trevor’s interests include athletics and swimming. He also loves travelling, and with his family, he has done lots of house exchanges all across Europe for over 10 years.
